Session
A session may contain a number of modalities to achieve desired results, be it reducing stress or pain,
enhancing circulation or energetic balancing. The body is covered by draping (a sheet) except for the area being worked on and sometimes the body is covered even during the massage, depending on the modality. Every effort is made to make the client feel safe and comfortable.
MODALITIES
- Swedish Massage contains invigorating strokes, petrissage, skin rolling and percussion to loosen muscle spasms, cellulite, and congested lymph areas.
- Esalen Massage is slow, rhythmic efflurage to soothe, calm, and relax.
- Deep Tissue Sculpting is characterized by firm constant compressions and stroking of the musculature intended to bring consciousness to the skeleton by freeing the muscles of chronic tension.
- Positional Release and Counterstrain Techniques are used to reduce tender spots in muscle tissue.
- Side Lying Somatics is following the body's rhythm with gentle rocking...used to relieve stress and tension.
- Energy balancing work, including cranial sacral techniques are used to affect fascial disruptions due to trauma.
